Ophthalmic Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Ophthalmic Assistant to join our team at Children's Mercy Hospitals and Clinics. As an Ophthalmic Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our ophthalmology team in delivering high-quality services.
Key Responsibilities- Perform a variety of clinical and technical tasks as directed by the Section Manager, including preparing and maintaining equipment for ophthalmological services.
- Create and maintain patient medical records under the supervision of an ophthalmologist or optometrist.
- Provide supportive patient care, including assisting with patient examinations and procedures.
- Maintain a safe and efficient work environment, promoting the highest standards of patient care and safety.
- High School diploma or equivalent and 1-2 years of experience in a clinical or ophthalmic setting.
- Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) certification is preferred.
