- Comply with all company policies and procedures, including HIPAA regulations.
- Verify patient information through interviews and record medical history, current medications, and visit purposes.
- Record all data in the patient's electronic medical record.
- Conduct thorough eye exams, observing pupils, muscles, visual acuity, and extraocular movements.
- Perform diagnostic tests, including dilation, refraction, pressures, and visual fields.
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of eye anatomy, diseases, symptoms, and ocular medications.
- Perform general office duties and cleaning as assigned by the manager.
- Reliably transport yourself to multiple work locations with minimal notice.
- Work weekends as needed and demonstrate a willingness to learn and grow within the industry.
- Take initiative in achieving practice goals and adapt to changing situations.
- Contribute to a positive work environment by being team-oriented and patient-focused.
This role requires frequent standing, walking, and sitting. You will regularly use your hands to handle equipment and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
