Job Summary

The Veterinary Receptionist is the first point of contact for clients and plays a vital role in creating a positive experience for pet owners. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing front desk operations, providing exceptional customer service, and supporting veterinarians and staff in daily patient and client care.

Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service to clients, responding to their inquiries and concerns in a professional and empathetic manner.
  • Manage front desk operations, including scheduling appointments, handling payments, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Support veterinarians and staff in daily patient and client care, including preparing medical records, processing prescriptions, and providing information on animal care and wellness.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of veterinary services, products, and policies to effectively communicate with clients and staff.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to ensure seamless communication and efficient workflow.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry developments and best practices to continuously improve services and processes.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a veterinary or customer-facing role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, staff, and veterinarians.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks.
  • Proficiency in computer software and systems, including practice management software.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
