Position Overview

The Calvary Amplar Health Joint Venture (CAHJV) is at the forefront of virtual healthcare, recognized for its commitment to delivering high-quality acute care. We are seeking experienced Consultant & Specialist Medical Officers to enhance our team of healthcare professionals.

CAHJV stands as one of the pioneering virtual hospitals in Australia, achieving national accreditation under the National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) Standards. Our innovative approach has allowed us to provide care to over 210,000 patients, including more than 14,000 acute cases.

Role Responsibilities

As a Consultant, you will play a crucial role in overseeing patient care, utilizing your medical expertise for clinical diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management of patients admitted to our Virtual Hospital. You will have the opportunity to contribute to the evolving landscape of virtual health.

Work Environment

Our consultants operate in a collaborative multi-disciplinary team, working 8-hour shifts across a flexible 7-day roster. Participation in an on-call roster is expected, depending on your full-time equivalent (FTE) status. We offer both casual part-time and full-time roles.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for fully registered Specialists with AHPRA, particularly those with a minimum of 5 years post-fellowship experience in their specialty. Candidates with FACEM or FRACP qualifications are highly encouraged to apply. Experience in geriatric medicine, haematology, and general medicine, along with proficiency in technology and telemedicine, will be prioritized.
