Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Demand Planner to join our team in North America. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for forecasting customer demand and developing demand plans to ensure consistent and cost-effective inventory deliverables.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts for revenue and non-revenue products across multiple time horizons
  • Review historical sales trends and collect data from internal and external sources to inform demand planning decisions
  • Manage the demand plan within the Integrated Business Planning (S&OP) process for US and North America Markets
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and operations teams to understand demand forecast drivers and optimize inventory levels
  • Set goals with Finance to balance carrying costs with service level goals, such as minimizing excess stock and avoiding stockouts
  • Assess demand plan performance through monthly KPI reviews (forecast accuracy & error)
  • Develop and manage inventory KPIs
  • Work with the supply chain team to optimize timing, order flow, and inventory levels to maximize cash flow and inventory turnover
  • Collaborate with the operational buying team to review replenishment purchase orders (net requirements plan)
  • Provide input to the supply planning organization in developing inventory strategies on existing items, new products, and product life cycle (phase outs)
  • Coordinate cross-functional research activities to reconcile significant variances
  • Use and maintain the demand planning software engine
  • Refine systems and methods to improve forecasts to better anticipate customer and business needs
Requirements
  • 2-6 years of related work experience as a demand planner
  • Experience using a demand engine ERP or software program
  • Power BI skills and strong presentation experience
  • Previous experience as a buyer is preferred
  • Excellent database and Excel skills
  • Knowledge of inventory metrics
  • Experience in an FDA regulated environment is a plus
