Job Summary:

Cignus Consulting LLC. is seeking a skilled Aviation Planner to join our team in Leesburg, VA. As an Aviation Planner, you will work on exciting projects focused on airspace, airside, terminal, and landside planning across various aviation systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support planning projects, including Airport Master Plans and State Aviation System Plans
  • Prepare conceptual designs and ALPs using Computer Aided Drawing (CAD) tools
  • Conduct FAA Obstruction Analysis projects with data analysis, ArcGIS artifact development, and report writing
  • Develop and assess trends, statistics, and external impacts
  • Support economic and airport and airspace system development impact analyses
  • Conduct demand/capacity analyses for airports and airspace
  • Work directly with commercial clients, airlines, and the FAA to manage projects

Requirements:

  • Bachelors (or Masters) degree in a relevant aviation field
  • 3-8 years of Aviation Planning experience
  • Industry-specific experience and knowledge including FAA ACs and ICAO/IATA standards
  • Experience in the use of CAD and GIS tools
  • Excellent communications and technical writing skills
  • Proficiency with Office Suite including Excel, Word, and Powerpoint
