Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Programmatic Analyst to support our client in Falls Church, VA. The Rapid Defense Experimentation Reserve (RDER) is dedicated to conducting system of systems experimentation that refines Joint Warfighting Concepts and delivers game-changing capabilities to the warfighter within 1-2 years.

Responsibilities

  • Provide counsel and support to the Director on all program matters, working closely with the Senior Analyst.
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the RDER Program and its objectives.
  • Collaborate daily with the Director to establish priorities and ensure smooth program execution.
  • Assist in identifying, evaluating, and selecting projects, including navigating the Congressional Notification process for new initiatives.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for stakeholders across Combatant Commands, Services, Defense Agencies, Joint Staff, and select Allies, effectively disseminating the Director's guidance.
  • Maintain program metrics to track progress and demonstrate the value of RDER.
  • Develop comprehensive briefings and documentation to manage and defend the RDER program.
  • Respond promptly and accurately to inquiries from senior management within OUSD(R&E) and external stakeholders, often under tight deadlines.
  • Support the Director as part of an operations team, standardizing oversight for cost, schedule, and performance across 11 diverse research portfolios.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field such as engineering, science, technology, management, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in a role requiring program analysis and support.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance is required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience operating within the Department of Defense (DoD) or similar government agency.
  • Familiarity with research and development processes, particularly in the defense sector.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
