Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to join our team at Applied Research Associates (ARA). As a Financial Analyst, you will play a critical role in providing financial expertise to support the planning, programming, budgeting, and execution of defense programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Planning and Analysis: Assist in the development and implementation of financial plans and budgets for defense programs.
  • Financial Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and analyze financial reports to ensure compliance with government regulations and to identify areas for cost savings.
  • Financial Systems and Processes: Develop and implement financial systems and processes to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication and coordination of financial information.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field and 2+ years of experience in financial analysis or a related field.
  • Skills and Knowledge: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and proficiency in financial software and systems.
  • Clearance and Security: Must have an active Top-Secret security clearance and be eligible to access Sensitive Compartmentalized Information (TS/SCI).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Defense Programs: Prior experience working with defense programs and financial management systems.
  • Advanced Skills and Knowledge: Advanced skills and knowledge in financial analysis, budgeting, and financial reporting.
