Wireless Network Engineer Specialist

Insight Global is seeking a highly skilled Wireless Network Engineer Specialist to support one of our top higher education clients in the Virginia area.
This position is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing large-scale wireless networks, including 8000 WAPs, controllers, and related routing domains.
The selected candidate will be required to participate in an on-call support rotation and develop comprehensive documentation, including solution designs, implementation plans, and technical specifications.
This position will also be expected to provide technical expertise and guidance to stakeholders and internal teams on network Wireless Access best practices, industry standards, and emerging trends.
The final candidate must be able to work independently as well as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement large-scale wireless networks
- Manage and troubleshoot wireless network infrastructure
- Develop and maintain technical documentation
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to stakeholders and internal teams
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- 5+ years of direct experience with wireless network architecture
- Expert-level experience with high-density WiFi solutions
- Experience with Aruba mobility controllers and wireless access points
- Experience with Clearpass RADIUS infrastructure
- Experience with wireless troubleshooting and site-survey tools
- Experience with ITIL processes
Salary Range: $130,000 - $150,000
