Technical Analyst

UVA Health is seeking a seasoned Technical Analyst to join our dynamic Office of Strategic Marketing and Communications team. As a key member of the Digital Solutions team, you will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between business needs and web site or other technology platform solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with a core team as well as business stakeholders to elicit, document, and prioritize business requirements, ensuring a clear understanding of goals and objectives.
  • Documentation and Training: Create detailed business requirement documents (BRDs), use cases, process flow diagrams, and user stories to communicate requirements effectively to development teams.
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with healthcare industry-specific regulations and compliance standards (e.g., HIPAA and recent HHS regulations).
  • Process: Experience with Agile or Scrum methodologies, identifying and recommending process improvements, workflow optimizations, and best practices to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Project Support: Assist and partner with project manager in project planning, scoping, and monitoring, ensuring that projects are delivered on time.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze data, processes, and systems to identify opportunities for improvement, optimization, and innovation, with familiarity with data modeling and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Validation: Verify that proposed solutions align with business requirements and objectives by conducting validation tests and user acceptance testing (UAT).

Position Compensation Range: $57,907.20 - $92,643.20 Annual

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree required. Degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of business analyst, technical analyst or similar technical strategy role experience required. Two (2) years of Technology or digital agency experience preferred. Experience with healthcare-related clients preferred.
  • Licensure: None.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job occasionally requires traveling some distance to attend meetings and programs.
