Position Overview: Outpatient Pediatrician at Akron Children's Hospital

Our pediatric division offers primary care services for infants, children, and adolescents across various locations in northeast Ohio, supported by over 40 pediatric offices. We are seeking a full-time or part-time board-certified pediatrician to enhance our Ashland West practice, which has been a cornerstone of pediatric care in the community for over 20 years. This outpatient role includes shared after-hours call responsibilities and Saturday office hours among the providers. Our exceptional after-hours nurse triage service effectively manages over 90% of patient inquiries, ensuring that physicians are only contacted when necessary.
Eligibility for Public Service Loan Forgiveness: This position is situated at a 501(c)(3) site, making it eligible for Public Service Loan Forgiveness through the Federal government.
Our practices maintain standard hospital protocols while embracing the distinct culture of each office. Physicians have access to EPIC, our integrated electronic health record system, and all primary care offices are certified as Patient-Centered Medical Homes (PCMH), which emphasizes a model of care that prioritizes patients throughout their healthcare journey. This model fosters improved relationships between patients and their care teams, enhancing the quality of care, patient satisfaction, staff morale, and cost efficiency.
