Position OverviewRole Summary

The Speech-Language Pathologist is responsible for organizing and executing specific segments of Speech Language Pathology services aimed at aiding individuals with speech, language, cognitive linguistic, psychosocial, and swallowing challenges. This role involves guiding patient engagement in targeted activities to develop, improve, and restore essential communication and swallowing skills or to adapt to any impairments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations to assess communication and swallowing abilities.
  • Develop and implement tailored treatment plans based on individual patient needs.
  • Facilitate discharge planning to ensure continuity of care.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes.
Qualifications

Must be a graduate of an accredited Speech-Language Therapy program.

Licensure: Must hold a valid license to practice Speech-Language Therapy in the State of Ohio.

Preferred Experience: Experience in inpatient settings, particularly acute care, as well as managing outpatient caseloads for both adults and pediatrics, including Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBSS).
