Position OverviewRole Summary

The Speech-Language Pathologist is responsible for organizing and executing specific segments of the Speech Language Pathology program aimed at aiding individuals with speech, language, cognitive linguistic, psychosocial, and swallowing challenges. This role involves guiding patients through selected activities designed to develop, improve, and restore their communication and swallowing capabilities or to adapt to any impairments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough patient evaluations to assess communication and swallowing abilities.
  • Develop comprehensive treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
  • Implement effective therapy sessions focused on habilitation and rehabilitation.
  • Facilitate discharge planning to ensure continuity of care.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes.
Qualifications

Applicants must be graduates of an accredited Speech-Language Therapy program.

Licensure: Must hold a valid license to practice Speech-Language Therapy in the State of Ohio.

Preferred Experience: Candidates with experience in inpatient speech therapy, particularly in acute care settings, as well as those who have worked with outpatient adult and pediatric caseloads, including Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBSS), are highly desirable.
