Position OverviewRole Summary

The Speech-Language Pathologist is responsible for organizing and implementing specific segments of the Speech Language Pathology program aimed at aiding individuals with communication and swallowing disorders. This role involves directing patient engagement in targeted activities designed to improve or restore their speech, language, cognitive, psychosocial, and swallowing capabilities, or to adapt to any deficits.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations to assess communication and swallowing abilities.
  • Develop and implement tailored treatment plans based on individual patient needs.
  • Facilitate discharge planning to ensure continuity of care.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes.
Qualifications

Must be a graduate of an accredited Speech-Language Therapy program.

Licensure: Must hold a valid license to practice Speech-Language Therapy in the State of Ohio.

Preferred Experience: Experience in inpatient settings, particularly acute care, as well as outpatient treatment for both adult and pediatric populations, including Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBSS).
