Job Summary:

Operates ultrasound equipment and performs a variety of technical diagnostic procedures that encompass the specialty areas of Peripheral Vascular Imaging. Provides a preliminary report of procedure completed. Provides patient orientation, procedure explanation, and pre and post diagnostic care to completion of test.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Performs all duties of a Peripheral Vascular Tech I
  • Prepares equipment ensuring that equipment is operational, safe, and functioning according to diagnostic standards
  • Actively participates with patient testing, performing routine, nonroutine, urgent, and emergent patient requests
  • Communicates with Patient Transportation, Nursing Units, Physician Offices, other diagnostic areas to ensure that patients receive their diagnostic procedures in a smooth, efficient, and safe manner
  • Performs portable examinations at the bedside to ensure patient safety as well as provide immediate diagnostic testing when needed
Qualifications:
  • Associate's Degree in a health-related program in a related medical field, which includes seminar course training in cardiac ultrasound OR one year certificate preferred
  • Registered by American Diagnostic Registry for Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) as RVT or RDCS OR Registered by Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) as RVS or RCS
  • Three (3) years related experience
