As a Vascular Ultrasound Tech, you will play a critical role in the diagnosis and treatment of patients by performing non-invasive hemodynamic evaluations using ultrasound machines.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare patients for exams, explain procedures, and position them for optimal imaging.
- Select appropriate imaging techniques and ensure technical quality of images.
- Enter and monitor patient data, perform quality assurance on ultrasound equipment, and identify/report any accidents or equipment malfunctions.
- Assist with initial and renewal applications for accreditation and take emergency calls within the department.
- Ensure safe care to patients, staff, and visitors, adhering to Memorial Hermann policies and procedures.
- Promote individual professional growth and development by meeting mandatory/continuing education requirements and supporting department-based goals.
- Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology or Sonography Technology.
- Certified in Basic or Advanced Life Support.
- Registered Vascular Sonographer, Registered Vascular Technologist, or International Registered Vascular Specialist.
