Ultrasound Technician

Catholic Health Initiatives is seeking a dedicated Ultrasound Technician to contribute to our commitment to excellence in patient care. Our organization is renowned for its focus on comprehensive healthcare services, particularly in the fields of cardiovascular health, neurology, oncology, and transplant medicine.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize ultrasound technology to conduct diagnostic evaluations in Peripheral Vascular Imaging.
  • Prepare and calibrate ultrasound equipment, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and infection control measures.
  • Assist in patient assessments, interpret physician directives, and educate patients regarding procedures.
  • Gather patient medical histories, perform physical evaluations, and position patients appropriately for imaging.
  • Complete diagnostic imaging procedures, document results accurately, and communicate findings with healthcare professionals.
  • Engage in quality assurance initiatives, ongoing training, and mentorship of students.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree in a relevant health discipline with specialized training in cardiac ultrasound, or a one-year certificate program.
  • Certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) as RVT or RDCS, or from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) as RVS or RCS.
  • No prior experience is necessary.

Compensation: $44.30 per hour
