Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Vascular Sonographer to join our team at California Foot & Ankle Centers. As a Vascular Sonographer, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive diagnostic vascular ultrasound exams, including lower extremity arterial and venous duplex, carotid duplex, and other non-invasive vascular studies.
  • Assist physicians during ultrasound-guided endovenous procedures, such as RFA and Varithena/sclerotherapy.
  • Assess patients and correlate clinical history with test results to ensure accurate diagnoses.
  • Prepare patients for examinations and explain procedures in a clear and professional manner.
  • Ensure patient safety and comfort during exams.
  • Transfer studies to PACS and complete official preliminary reports in a timely manner.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program or equivalent education/experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of clinical/practical experience as a vascular sonographer, with echo experience a plus.
  • Proficiency in non-invasive vascular studies, including lower extremity arterial duplex, lower extremity venous duplex, and carotid duplex.
  • Experience in endovenous ablations (RFA and Varithena/sclerotherapy) is required.
  • RVT (Registered Vascular Technologist) through ARDMS or RVS (Registered Vascular Specialist) through CCI is required.
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) is required upon hire.

Physical Demands

The physical demands of this role include sitting, standing, walking, speaking, hearing, using hands, handling documents, bending, and stooping as needed. Strong vision abilities are required for extensive computer-related work.
