Job Title: Radiation Oncology Nurse Specialist

Job Summary:

The Radiation Oncology Nurse Specialist will provide high-quality patient care, develop treatment plans, and supervise radiation therapy treatment. This role requires strong clinical expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
  • Provide direct patient care, including administering radiation therapy and monitoring patient responses.
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of radiation therapy staff, ensuring efficient and effective treatment delivery.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, adhering to regulatory requirements and hospital policies.
  • Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with advances in radiation oncology.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a current RN license in the State of Georgia.
  • Minimum of two years of experience as a RN in a radiation oncology setting.
  • Certification in American Heart Association's Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) and other unit-specific certifications.
  • BSN degree and national certification in clinical specialty preferred.
