Radiation Oncology Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Professional Nurse to join our Radiation Oncology team at Northside Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the delivery of high-quality radiation therapy services.
About the RoleThe Registered Professional Nurse at Northside Hospital will be responsible for independently planning and providing professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines. This will involve assisting in the development of treatment plans and rendering radiation therapy treatment. Additionally, you will provide supervisory oversight of designated machines and staff, ensuring efficient and effective operation.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients undergoing radiation therapy
- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications and treatments
- Supervise and coordinate the work of radiation therapy staff, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of services
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient care and treatment
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care and treatment
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and licensed as a RN in the State of Georgia in good standing
- Minimum of two (2) years of full-time experience as a RN post-orientation or post-residency training
- Certified in American Heart Association's Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS)
- Other REQUIRED cardiopulmonary resuscitation certifications (ACLS, NRP, PALS, etc.) are unit specific
- BSN degree
- National Certification in Clinical Specialty
