Position Overview

Oncology Radiation Specialist Opportunity

We are looking for a dedicated and board-certified Radiation Oncology Specialist to join our esteemed team. The successful candidate will be proficient in the latest radiation oncology techniques, including Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS), Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT), and Image-Guided Radiation Therapy (IGRT). Experience with High-Dose Rate (HDR) brachytherapy is also preferred. This role involves enhancing our radiation oncology services, providing guidance to our staff, and fostering strong relationships with referring healthcare providers. Exceptional clinical expertise and a collaborative approach are essential for this position.

Work Schedule:

  • Standard work hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
  • On-call rotation: 1:3.

Key Responsibilities:

Patient Care:

  • Evaluate and manage a range of medical conditions.
  • Design and execute detailed treatment plans.
  • Conduct comprehensive medical assessments.

Communication:

  • Engage effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Deliver clear and precise medical information.
  • Promote a collaborative, patient-focused healthcare environment.

Documentation:

  • Maintain accurate and current patient records.
  • Document clinical findings, diagnoses, and treatment strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with coding and billing standards.

Diagnostic Procedures:

  • Order and interpret diagnostic evaluations, including laboratory tests and imaging.
  • Perform necessary medical procedures.
  • Collaborate with specialists for further diagnostic insights.

Team Collaboration:

  • Work alongside nurses, specialists, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Engage in interdisciplinary meetings and case discussions.
  • Provide consultative support to fellow healthcare providers.

Quality Improvement:

  • Participate in quality assurance and enhancement initiatives.
  • Analyze clinical outcomes for ongoing improvement.
  • Implement strategies to elevate patient care and safety.

Compliance:

  • Adhere to ethical and legal standards in medical practice.
  • Stay updated on healthcare regulations and compliance mandates.
  • Engage in quality audits to ensure adherence to established standards.

Continuous Learning:

  • Keep informed about advancements in medical practices.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training opportunities.
  • Contribute to the development of clinical protocols and guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • Valid and unrestricted medical license in California.
  • Education: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO).
  • Board Certified/Board Eligible in Radiation Oncology.
  • Team-oriented and collaborative Radiation Oncologist.

Compensation:
$254.58 per hour
