Key Responsibilities:
- Administer ionizing radiation to patients under the supervision of a licensed physician.
- Assist in various aspects of Radiation Oncology Department functions, including patient preparation, treatment planning, and equipment maintenance.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and optimal treatment outcomes.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Radiation Therapy or a related field.
- Current registration and licensure as a Radiation Therapist in California.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
- Knowledge of clinical practices, radiation protection, and equipment operation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Two years of recent experience in radiation therapy.
- Experience with specific equipment and procedures, including HDR brachytherapy.
