Position Overview
Our Sales Professionals are tasked with selling vehicles while achieving dealership gross profit, volume, and customer satisfaction benchmarks.
This role encompasses four primary areas: personal work habits, prospecting, selling, and follow-up.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recognize that business success is rooted in customer satisfaction and strive to ensure customer contentment.
- Identify each customer's vehicle requirements through inquiry and attentive listening.
- Showcase vehicles through demonstrations, including test drives.
- Facilitate vehicle deliveries to customers, ensuring they comprehend the vehicle's features, warranty, and necessary paperwork, which fosters customer loyalty.
- Set personal income objectives aligned with dealership productivity standards and develop strategies to achieve these goals.
- Report to the Vehicle Sales Manager regarding objectives, planned activities, and performance reviews.
- Stay informed about incoming inventory, features, and accessories, and their benefits to customers.
- Collaborate with the service department and body shop to ensure timely vehicle reconditioning.
- Participate in sales meetings and training sessions provided by the dealership and manufacturer.
- Maintain a prospect development system and an owner follow-up system to encourage repeat and referral business.
- Evaluate and analyze actions at the end of each day, week, month, and year to optimize time management and planning.
- Understand automotive terminology and keep up with technological advancements in the industry.
- Comprehend equity and values, and be able to explain depreciation to customers.
- Familiarize customers with service department personnel to highlight the quality and efficiency of service repairs and maintenance.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, reporting any incidents to a manager or supervisor immediately.
Compensation:
The average annual salary ranges from $60,000 to $240,000, depending on performance. The compensation structure includes an hourly wage between $18.00 and $20.00, along with an advance of $2,100.
Commission compensation is based on closed sales, with no upper limit, and additional production bonuses may be awarded based on individual or team performance.
Qualifications:
A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
A valid in-state driver's license is necessary.
Professional appearance and excellent communication skills are essential.
Ability to meet minimum sales quotas as per dealership standards.
All applicants must be authorized to work in the USA and perform duties safely. Candidates must also pass pre-employment testing, including background checks, MVR, drug tests, credit reports, and possess a valid driver's license.
