Residential Mental Health Nurse Position

Cornerstones of Maine invites applications for a Residential Mental Health Nurse Position in our prestigious residential young adult mental health program. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in supporting the physical and mental health needs of our young adult residents.
About UsCornerstones of Maine is a small residential treatment program designed to assist young adults (ages 18 to 28) in their journey to adulthood. We address the current need for therapeutic services for young adults who have significant potential but are struggling with mental health issues that are obstacles to their ability to live independently.
Duties and Responsibilities- Provide direct nursing care, including medication administration, health assessments, and management of medical conditions.
- Collaborate with the clinical team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Monitor the physical and mental health of residents, identifying any changes in condition and responding appropriately.
- Facilitate groups and individual sessions for residents on wellness and self-care practices.
- Assist in crisis intervention and provide support during psychiatric emergencies.
- Maintain accurate documentation of medical records and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to ongoing program development.
Estimated salary: $80,000 - $100,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
Requirements- Current Maine State License as Registered Nurse or Nurse Practitioner.
- Experience in mental health, behavioral health, or residential care settings preferred.
- Ability to emotionally and professionally handle charged emotional situations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Empathy, patience, and a genuine interest in working with young adults experiencing mental health challenges.
CPR and First Aid certification required.
