Job DescriptionThe Sous Chef is a key member of our culinary team, responsible for assisting the Executive Chef and ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen. This role requires a high level of expertise, attention to detail, and a passion for delivering exceptional culinary experiences.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the Executive Chef in menu planning, food preparation, and presentation.
- Oversee the kitchen staff, ensuring that all team members are working efficiently and effectively.
- Monitor food costs, inventory, and waste management to optimize kitchen operations.
- Develop and implement new recipes, menu items, and cooking techniques to enhance the culinary experience.
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef to create a positive and productive kitchen environment.
- 3+ years of experience in a senior culinary role, preferably in a high-volume kitchen.
- Proven track record of success in menu planning, food preparation, and presentation.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Strong attention to detail, with a focus on quality and consistency.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of energy and enthusiasm.
