- Collaborate with HR Teams: Work closely with HR, legal, and labor relations teams to ensure compliance with all relevant labor laws and regulations.
- Drive Organizational Change: Partner with senior leadership to drive organizational change and workforce planning initiatives.
- Monitor Employee Relations Trends: Analyze employee relations trends and metrics to identify areas for improvement and develop proactive solutions.
- Lead and Mentor HR Professionals: Lead and mentor a team of HR professionals, fostering their growth and development within the organization.
- Support Collective Bargaining: Support collective bargaining processes and labor negotiations as needed.
- Stay Up-to-Date on Industry Developments: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices, legal developments, and emerging trends in employee relations.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 20 years of experience in Human Resources, Employee Relations, or Labor Relations, with a focus on the automotive or manufacturing industries.
- Certifications: Professional certifications such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR are highly desirable.
- Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations.
- Leadership Skills: Strong leadership skills with a track record of successfully managing teams and driving organizational change.
- Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Discretion: Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Global Experience: Experience working in a global environment with diverse workforces is a plus.
