Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Life Enrichment Director to join our team at Avamere St. Helens Operations LLC. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive activities program that enhances the quality of life for our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and distribute a monthly activities calendar and newsletter for residents and family members
  • Coordinate and schedule outside vendors and presenters
  • Participate in community event planning with the marketing staff
  • Prepare person-centered activities as a description for the monthly calendar
  • Create and update resident service plan preferences in their electronic health record
  • Make routine visits to residents
  • Plan, prepare, and operate under the activities budget
  • Participate in facility surveys by authorized government agencies
  • Attend quarterly LED meetings
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent. Additional education preferred
  • Must have a minimum of two years' experience in a social or recreation program or similar experience working in a healthcare setting
  • Food Handlers Card required upon hire
  • Knowledge and experience caring for and interacting with an elder population
  • Knowledge of computers, data entry/retrieval, output, etc.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, or regulatory agencies.
  • Able to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies, and the public
