As a key member of our residential support staff, you will play a vital role in providing direct client services to individuals diagnosed with serious mental illnesses and/or addiction issues.

Job Summary:

The Graveyard Community Support Specialist will provide support and guidance to residents in our residential facilities, teaching activities of daily living, such as housekeeping, cooking, personal hygiene, and personal finance. This role requires a strong understanding of interpersonal and vocational skills, as well as the ability to model appropriate behaviors and deal effectively with high-stress situations.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct client services to individuals diagnosed with serious mental illnesses and/or addiction issues
  • Teach activities of daily living, including housekeeping, cooking, personal hygiene, and personal finance
  • Model appropriate interpersonal and vocational skills
  • Deal effectively with high-stress situations and unusual human behavior
  • Reliable transportation, good driving record, valid driver's license, and proof of current automobile insurance

Requirements:

  • High school diploma/equivalency preferred and at least one-year experience working with individuals with mental health needs
  • Combination of education/experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties outlined for this position may be considered
