Server Repair Specialist

At Total Site Solutions, we are seeking a skilled Server Repair Technician to join our team in Round Rock, TX. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our partners' servers, diagnosing and repairing hardware and software issues, and collaborating with partners to understand specific build requirements.
Key Responsibilities:- Diagnose and repair hardware and software issues in servers within the TSS facility, ensuring all builds meet partner specifications.
- Perform thorough testing of servers to confirm functionality and compliance with customer requirements.
- Collaborate with TSS partners to understand specific build requirements and address any concerns during the build process.
- Document repair processes, test results, and any modifications to server builds.
- Travel to third-party customer sites to troubleshoot and resolve server issues that arise after deployment.
- Provide on-site and remote technical support to third-party customers as needed.
- Ensure that all repairs and modifications are completed on time to minimize downtime for the end customer.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of server technologies and repair techniques to improve service quality continuously.
- Extensive experience with server hardware, including motherboards, processors, memory, and storage components.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing hardware and software issues in server environments.
- Strong understanding of operating systems (Windows Server, Linux) and their configurations.
- Troubleshooting software and hardware problems.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple repair tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills for interfacing with TSS partners and third-party customers.
- Ability to work shifts, including overtime/nights.
- Ability to lift >50lbs.
- Typically, the position requires 3+ years of experience in server repair and maintenance, with a focus on customized builds for specific customer needs.
- An associate or bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, information technology, computer science, or a related field is preferred.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Server+, Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Specialist, Red Hat Certified System Administrator) are highly desirable.
- Specific manufacturers' certifications as required (e.g., EMC, Dell, Cisco, Microsoft, Apple).
- A+ certification (a plus).
- Experience in customer-facing roles.
- Willingness to travel to customer sites and be on call for urgent repair and troubleshooting needs.
