Position Overview:
The Safety Compliance Manager is responsible for overseeing safety management and support functions for a significant construction project. This role is essential in ensuring adherence to safety and environmental protocols throughout the project duration. The individual will collaborate closely with the project team and the Risk Management Department to prioritize safety and mitigate potential claims.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as an internal consultant regarding safety matters across all business units.
  • Ensure compliance with Clune's safety guidelines, project specifications, and applicable regulations.
  • Collaborate with the project team and Regional Safety Director to develop safety programs that meet or exceed client expectations.
  • Review and maintain all necessary safety documentation for trade partners.
  • Provide updated safety statistics and reports as required.
  • Offer safety guidance during the planning phases of projects.
  • Coordinate and conduct safety training programs for management and staff.
  • Participate in safety meetings and contribute to ongoing safety initiatives.
  • Engage in external training to enhance professional qualifications and stay informed on industry changes.
  • Exemplify professional behavior for all stakeholders involved in the project.

Qualifications:

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with diverse teams.
  • Strong organizational abilities to manage schedules and safety protocols efficiently.
  • Analytical skills to maintain detailed and accurate safety records.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment and serve as a safety resource.
  • Mentoring capabilities to enhance the safety knowledge of fellow employees.
  • Physical ability to perform job duties, including standing, walking, and climbing as necessary.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety and Health or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • OSHA 30-hour certification preferred.
  • Current First Aid/CPR/AED certification.
  • Familiarity with federal, state, and local safety regulations.
