Job Title: Materials Coordinator at Navy Federal Credit Union
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Materials Coordinator to join our team at Navy Federal Credit Union. As a key member of our supply chain team, you will be responsible for managing the flow of materials coming in and going out, as well as handling member documents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with Procurement and General Accounting to reconcile receipts with vendor invoices for timely payments
- Collaborate with Marketing and Procurement to devise action plans for expediting special and time-sensitive distributions
- Research, identify, and propose vendor equipment and enhancements
- Recognize and suggest process improvements
- Work with Inventory Control to oversee supplies levels
- Update records and reports for production and warehouse traffic tracking
- Coordinate to manage the return of delivered items
- Offer insights and suggestions for workflow enhancements within the section
- Assist in training and developing level I staff
- Ensure compliance with Navy Federal policies, procedures, and safety regulations
- Act as a supervisor in the absence of the incumbent
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Experience in shipping, receiving, storage, inventory management, or related roles
- Leadership capabilities to guide and mentor others
- Knowledge of international shipping procedures
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Initiative to make sound decisions and exercise good judgment
- Proficiency in using automated inventory management and shipping systems
- Skills in updating/maintaining spreadsheets, reports, and production tracking documents
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with employees and vendors
Desired Qualifications: Working knowledge of Navy Federal's organizational structure and facilities
