We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Technician to join our team at AMFM Healthcare. As a Mental Health Technician, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our clients in our residential facilities.

About the Role

This is a part-time position, working Friday/Saturday AM 6:30am-3:00pm and Sunday/Monday SWING 2:30pm-11:00pm. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and transporting clients safely to all daily activities, ensuring timely arrival and participant safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and transport clients to daily activities, ensuring timely arrival and participant safety.
  • Utilize intervention and communication skills in working with clients, their families, and significant others daily and in crisis.
  • Rigorously adhere to all Joint Commission policies and procedures, including Waived Testing, Infection Prevention and Control, as well as Emergency Management and Environment of Care procedures.
  • Proficiently navigate and utilize the BestNotes electronic health record system to document client activities effectively.
  • Collaborate with the program nurse and clinical team regarding medication management, and monitor and report client behavior with medication side effects.
  • Maintain the integrity of the residences, ensuring optimal cleanliness at all times and keeping the area hygienic.
  • Facilitate recovery and clinically indicated activities and groups according to organization policy and document into the electronic health record.
  • Conduct observation rounds, as needed, to ensure client safety, and document client behavior and participation in treatment.
  • Responsible for client attendance of daily recovery activities as scheduled.
  • Conduct orientation to new residents, including reviewing safety drills and locations of fire extinguishers, emergency evacuation diagrams, exit routes, evacuation procedures, and first-aid kits.
Requirements
  • Ability to pass a comprehensive criminal background check with the Federal Department of Justice (Field Print).
  • Ability to get on Company Vehicle Insurance: Current valid Driver's License with 4+ years of continuous driving history without any major traffic violations, at least 21 years of age. Driving experience under a Learner's Permit or Provisional does not count towards driving history.
  • Education Requirements: Minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent.
