Job Overview

The Director Project Finance will lead and manage project finance opportunities, focusing on structuring, negotiating, and executing financing solutions for major projects. This role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and deep expertise in project finance, including debt, equity, and hybrid financial instruments.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership and Strategy

Develop and implement strategic financial structures to drive business growth and profitability.

Lead and manage a team of financial professionals to promote rapid execution of financing strategy.

Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including investors, lenders, and clients to ensure successful project outcomes.

Project Financing

Oversee the structuring and negotiation of financing arrangements for large-scale projects, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards.

Create and analyze financial models to determine project feasibility and financial viability, providing insights and recommendations to improve financial performance and project outcomes.

Develop and present financing strategies to internal and external stakeholders, maximizing value and ensuring alignment with business goals.

Risk Management

Identify and mitigate financial risks associated with projects, ensuring the company's financial stability and reputation.

Lead due diligence efforts associated with new financial opportunities, providing expert advice and guidance to stakeholders.

Business Development

Support and pursue new opportunities to add incremental value to the broader organization, building and maintaining a strong network within the industry.

Collaborate with other departments to align project finance strategies with overall business goals, driving business growth and profitability.

Reporting and Analysis

Prepare and present detailed presentations for internal and external stakeholders, providing insights and recommendations to improve financial performance and project outcomes.

Conduct regular reviews of project performance and financial outcomes, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards.

Provide expert advice and guidance to stakeholders, ensuring the company's financial stability and reputation.

Requirements

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in finance, business, economics, or a related field (Master's or MBA preferred).

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in project finance, investment banking, or related fields, with a proven track record of leading and executing large-scale project financing deals.

Strong leadership and team management experience, with excellent negotiation and communication skills.

Skills and Competencies

Must be willing to help promote a culture of high moral standards, with a strong work ethic, work product, and ingenuity.

In-depth knowledge of project finance structures, financial modeling, and risk management, with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to work effectively in a multi-entity, fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a high level of integrity and professionalism.

Strong decision-making capabilities, with the ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships.

Results-oriented, with a focus on achieving financial goals and objectives.

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to frequently lift or move items up to 10 pounds.
  • Must be able to occasionally lift or move items up to 25 pounds.

Travel

As required; potential for overnights is < 10%
