Job Overview

The Director Project Finance will lead and manage project finance opportunities, focusing on structuring, negotiating, and executing financing solutions for major projects. This role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and deep expertise in project finance, including debt, equity, and hybrid financial instruments.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership and Strategy

Develop and implement strategic financial structures to drive business growth and maximize returns on investment.

Lead and manage a team of professionals to promote rapid execution of financing strategies and ensure timely project delivery.

Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including investors, lenders, and clients to secure project financing and ensure successful project outcomes.

Project Financing

Oversee the structuring and negotiation of financing arrangements for large-scale projects, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards.

Create and analyze financial models to determine project feasibility and financial viability, and develop and present financing strategies to internal and external stakeholders.

Maximize value and ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards, and identify and mitigate financial risks associated with projects.

Risk Management

Lead due diligence efforts associated with new financial opportunities, and identify and mitigate financial risks associated with projects.

Business Development

Support and pursue new opportunities to add incremental value to the broader organization, and build and maintain a strong network within the industry.

Collaborate with other departments to align project finance strategies with overall business goals, and prepare and present detailed presentations for internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

Education: Bachelor's degree in finance, business, economics, or a related field (Master's or MBA preferred).

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in project finance, investment banking, or related fields, with a proven track record of leading and executing large-scale project financing deals.

Strong leadership and team management experience, with excellent negotiation and communication skills, and in-depth knowledge of project finance structures, financial modeling, and risk management.

Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, and ability to work effectively in a multi-entity, fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Proficiency in creating and maintaining complex project proforma using MS Excel, and high level of integrity and professionalism, with strong decision-making capabilities and ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships.

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to frequently lift or move items up to 10 pounds.
  • Must be able to occasionally lift or move items up to 25 pounds.

Travel

As required; potential for overnights is possible.
