Clinical Administrative Coordinator

This is a full-time position that requires flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00am – 4:30pm EST, Monday – Friday. Occasional overtime may be necessary given the business need.
We offer 4 weeks of on-the-job training, with hours aligned with your schedule. This comprehensive training will equip you with the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately navigate electronic health records and release of information modules to select necessary documentation for release.
- Gather information from Epic in PDF format according to provider order and process guidelines, and gather additional supporting records to attach to e-Consult requests.
- Respond to record requests according to HITECH, HIPAA, CMS, and other federal, state, and hospital-specific rules, regulations, and procedures.
- Verify patient authorization meets HIPAA, state, and hospital regulations.
- Provide positive customer service in a timely manner to onsite requestors and requests received via phone, fax, and electronic means.
- Collaborate with Patient Safety, Compliance, Billing, and Auditing departments.
- Routinely access and safeguard confidential information.
- Participate in departmental quality monitoring and improvement processes.
- Open and distribute department mail.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize daily workload.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in the ROI module associated with Epic upgrades.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma / GED
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- 1+ years of healthcare customer service experience
- Ability to work onsite full-time at our location
- Flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1+ years of experience within a clinical or hospital healthcare setting
- Experience in Health Care ROI (release of information)
- Experience with Electronic Health Records
- Experience with medical records documents and processing protected health information (PHI)
Soft Skills:
- Excellent customer service skills
- Exceptional telephone etiquette and computer skills
