Job Summary

Sysco is seeking a highly skilled Product Support Advisor to join our team. As a key member of our support department, you will play a critical role in achieving company goals and objectives.

Responsibilities:
  • Execute Category Management and other initiatives within assigned categories to drive business growth and profitability.
  • Collaborate with planners, suppliers, brokers, sales teams, and customer service to ensure seamless execution of category strategies.
  • Manage and promote local assortment within assigned categories to achieve company goals and objectives.
  • Negotiate and secure supplier-funded customer deviated pricing to drive revenue growth.
  • Facilitate corporate assortment training at the operation company as required to ensure consistency and compliance.
  • Conduct local supplier reviews and negotiations using corporate best business practices to drive value and efficiency.
  • Manage and review company Earned Income components to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
  • Work with supplier Category Captains or Advisors for focus categories as required to drive business growth and profitability.
  • Support inventory depletion process by identifying items to be discontinued and assisting in supplier negotiations to return products.
  • Drive results on focus categories and support promotional activities and selling events to drive business growth and profitability.
  • Direct line of contact for local sales and communicate with and assist Sales on all issues to ensure seamless execution of category strategies.
  • New item and Vendor creation to drive business growth and profitability.
  • Drive increased Sysco Brand sales to drive revenue growth and profitability.
  • Manage category equities and market pricing to support pricing integrity in conjunction with RevMan team.
  • Collaborate and review Sales and GP results of Market Cost Price changes with Revenue Management team to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
  • Provide market commodity/industry news and updates to the sales organization to ensure informed decision-making.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in lieu of degree sufficient to successfully perform essential job functions.
  • 3+ years of experience in a retail, wholesale, or distribution environment.
  • Experience working with suppliers and brokers to drive value and efficiency.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Seafood experience preferred.
