Position Summary


The Arc Central Chesapeake Region is dedicated to empowering individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) to thrive in their communities.

The
IT Service Technician will deliver technical support and assistance to employees of The Arc through in-person interactions, virtual communications, and our support ticketing system.

This role involves the setup and troubleshooting of various business devices, including laptops, tablets, peripherals, conference room technology, and third-party VoIP systems.

In-person engagement with employees and individuals with disabilities is a key aspect of this position, necessitating travel to various office and program locations as required to provide comprehensive IT support.


IT Service Technicians are expected to handle all support requests and inquiries with exceptional customer service.

Common tasks include resetting network connections, managing application passwords, addressing service issues, and resolving end-user connectivity challenges.

Responsibilities also include remote software installations, troubleshooting software problems, configuring laptops and tablets for Office 365 functionality, and supporting various IT initiatives and best practices.


Candidate Qualifications


The ideal candidate should possess the ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively, demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills to assist end-users, and have a solid understanding of Microsoft applications to support users with diverse technical skills.


This position requires a high school diploma or GED and a minimum of three years of experience in business systems implementation. A bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred, and CompTIA A+ certification may substitute for two years of experience.
