Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with clients, contractors, and end-users, fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Provide software installation, upgrades, and startup services for Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS), including troubleshooting device communications and delivering customer training for the commissioned systems.
- Consult with clients to ascertain system operation needs.
- Specify and procure necessary hardware/software for projects.
- Configure and commission Schneider Electric and third-party hardware.
- Document the as-built system.
Qualifications for Success:
- A strong commitment to assisting clients in optimizing electrical power usage.
- A Bachelor's degree in engineering is highly preferred.
- Exceptional communication and client interaction skills.
- A desire to be the go-to resource for others seeking solutions.
- Confidence and capability to see projects through to completion.
- Experience with meters, including troubleshooting and installation/upgrade tasks.
- Proficiency in interpreting contract specifications and electrical drawings.
- Familiarity with setting up communications for Electrical Power Monitoring Systems, Building Automation Systems, Systems Integration, and/or Energy Management Systems.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Experience working with electrical equipment such as switchgear, generators, and UPS systems.
- Understanding of industry-standard communication protocols, particularly Modbus, IEC 61850, and BACnet.
- Knowledge of computer networking architectures and hardware.
- Proficiency in programming languages (Visual Basic, C/C++, Java, etc.), databases (SQL), and HTML development.
- Experience in HMI configuration, including graphical screen development.
- Direct experience with Schneider Electric proprietary software like Power Monitoring Expert and Power SCADA Expert.
Additional Notes:
- Initial training and safety classes will be conducted online, followed by hands-on training with a peer.
- Job sites may vary daily, primarily serving commercial, industrial, and medical facilities.
- Efforts will be made to limit commute times to two hours or less, although overnight travel may be necessary (all expenses covered). Mileage reimbursement or fleet/rental vehicle options are available.
Compensation:
The compensation range for this full-time position, which includes base pay and short-term incentives, is $66,000-$99,000 for candidates located within the U.S. Salary is determined by factors such as performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
