Position Objectives:

The role involves coordinating, executing, documenting, and reviewing chemical and physical assessments on raw materials, finished goods, and components in accordance with established protocols. The successful candidate will lead and assist in Quality Control equipment qualifications, new method development, transfer, validation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct intricate chemical and physical assessments on raw materials, finished products, and components to support product/process integrity and continuous improvement.
  • Engage in hands-on testing utilizing HPLC (Waters/Empower), GC, titrations, and other standard laboratory techniques.
  • Execute laboratory analyses with meticulous attention to detail and adherence to cGMP practices to ensure a high rate of first-time accuracy in compliance with data integrity standards.
  • Contribute to strategic planning for the Analytical/Quality Control team to align with site objectives.
  • Support the daily operations of the Quality Control team to meet customer service goals and strategic aims effectively.
  • Assist in the development, transfer, documentation, and validation of complex analytical testing methodologies for evaluating and characterizing chemicals and polymeric materials, adhering to internal protocols and external regulations.
  • Lead investigations into nonconformance and laboratory discrepancies related to out-of-tolerance or out-of-specification data generated in the Quality Control lab.
  • Utilize independent judgment to draft and execute method development and validation protocols/reports.
  • Perform advanced laboratory functions, including instrument calibration, troubleshooting, maintenance, and drafting SOPs and OOS investigations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related discipline, with a minimum of 3 years of analytical laboratory experience, preferably in a regulated industry.
  • Proficient in analyzing raw materials, finished products, and final dosage forms.
  • Experience with analytical instruments such as HPLC, GC, FTIR, UV/VIS spectroscopy, and other wet chemistry techniques, including titrations and dissolution.
  • Comprehensive understanding of GMP/ISO standards relevant to laboratory operations.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills, coupled with strong organizational abilities.
  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
