Corporate Sales Director for Strategic Partnerships

This Corporate Sales Director for Strategic Partnerships position will be responsible for driving revenue growth through the sale of integrated sponsorships and naming rights partnerships for the Total Mortgage Arena and the Bridgeport Islanders.
The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of sales experience in major league team sports, larger market media (TV, radio) and/or sponsorship sales, with a proven track record of developing and managing highly strategic corporate partnerships.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Developing a strategic plan to drive revenue for the venue and team, in collaboration with the VP of OVG Global Partnerships (East region)
- Cross-selling Bridgeport assets to established OVG partners in the region, in collaboration with the New York OVG team, including the NY Islanders
- Establishing new marketing partnerships to achieve annual revenue goals
- Conducting cold calls to secure appointments and sell to new prospects
The successful candidate will be a skilled negotiator with the ability to effectively represent the standards and philosophy of the department, and will have strong professional relationship skills, with the ability to establish and maintain long-term strategic relationships with corporate clients, direct reports, and co-workers.
This is a highly competitive role, with a competitive salary range of $90,000 to $110,000 per year, plus sales commissions. The company offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) savings plan, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
This role will remain open until Oct 31, 2024, and the ideal candidate will be able to work non-traditional hours, in non-traditional settings, and will be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
The successful candidate will be highly self-motivated and adept at working both independently and as part of a team, and will have the ability to work nights, all events, weekends, events, and holidays as required.
The estimated salary range for this position is $90,000 - $110,000 per year, based on the job requirements and market conditions.
