**Position**: Lead Financial Analyst, Studio Operations

**Compensation**: Base Salary ($85K-$95K) + Target Bonus (10%)

We are in search of a Lead Financial Analyst who will play a crucial role in our studio operations. The ideal candidate will have a background in general ledger accounting and financial analysis within the film and television sector. This individual will be responsible for ensuring precise financial reporting, adherence to regulations, and driving enhancements in our processes.

To succeed in this position, the candidate should have a solid grounding in accounting principles, ideally with experience from a Big 4 firm or public accounting. Exceptional communication and organizational skills are essential for managing month-end and quarter-end closing activities effectively. The right candidate will excel in a dynamic environment, demonstrate strong time-management skills, and approach challenges with a proactive mindset. **Key Responsibilities**:

**Financial Reporting and Compliance**

  • Oversee daily, month-end, and quarter-end closing activities for our Television and Film division. This includes preparing journal entries for content assets, accruals, amortization, and other adjustments to ensure compliance with US GAAP.
  • Analyze results and prepare journal entries for the consolidation of our strategic investments, including adjustments from statutory to US GAAP and IFRS.
  • Prepare supporting schedules, month-end account reconciliations, and documentation for compliance.
  • Conduct account research and variance analysis on assigned accounts.

**Cross-Departmental Collaboration**

  • Work collaboratively with Production Finance, FP&A, and legal teams to ensure the accuracy and completeness of information utilized during the month-end close.
  • Assist with inquiries from Production Finance, FP&A, and external auditors.
  • Lead or participate in special projects that require coordination across various departments.

**Analysis and Problem-Solving**

  • Perform account research and variance analysis to identify discrepancies and opportunities for improvement.
  • Proactively recognize and address inefficiencies and challenges in the month-end closing process.

**Qualifications**:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related discipline.
  • 2-4 years of experience in the entertainment industry or a related field in an accounting capacity.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Outlook.
  • Experience with SAP or other ERP systems is preferred.
  • CPA designation is a plus.
  • Experience with Big 4 or public accounting is advantageous.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work both independently and collaboratively.
