Job Summary

Advance Local is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Account Manager to join our team in the Chicagoland region. As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for driving new business development efforts and client growth through our industry-leading digital advertising products.

About the Role

In this role, you will:

  • Achieve sales goals by prospecting and driving new partnerships in the Higher Education space
  • Meet with local Colleges and Universities to understand their business needs and goals, and advise them on our comprehensive product mix
  • Work with colleagues to design custom advertising and marketing solutions that fit clients' needs
  • Present solutions to clients, working collaboratively to achieve the product mix aligned to their goals
  • Further client relationships through retention and upselling
  • Review campaign results, learn from data, and celebrate successes
  • Work with our advertising fulfillment team to provide accurate information for each client campaign

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of two to five years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor's degree or a combination of education with related experience
  • Ability to build rapport and confidence with clients
  • Excellent communication skills, including writing, creating, and delivering effective presentations
  • Self-motivated and resilient
  • Ability to effectively organize your day, multi-task, and work under deadlines
  • Familiarity with CRM sales management software, ideally SalesForce (training will be provided)
  • Solid skills in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly in PowerPoint and Excel
  • This role requires reliable transportation to meet with customers

You will also have the opportunity to work from your home office and spend 40% to 60% of your time out in the field, including overnight travel, with reimbursement for travel expenses and mileage on a weekly basis.
