Position Overview
The Inside Sales Territory Manager plays a crucial role in engaging with key accounts to enhance sales performance and foster customer loyalty.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities may include:
- Strategically plan, organize, and cultivate a profitable portfolio of approximately 50 Inside Sales Key Accounts.
- Develop and nurture these Key Accounts to elevate their sales volume and growth potential, paving the way for transition to an Outside Territory Sales Manager.
- Backfill graduated accounts from the regional House Account list as needed.
- Collaborate with management to assess account readiness for transition to Territory Sales Managers.
- Drive sales revenue and improve gross margin consistently.
- Recruit and train new dealers, providing ongoing support to enhance their business operations.
- Create compelling proposals for prospective clients.
- Maintain strong relationships with customer decision-makers through proactive communication.
- Oversee all aspects of the Inside Sales Key Account customer base.
- Regularly update and manage customer and sales data within the CRM system.
- Establish collaborative relationships with corporate staff and field sales teams.
- Gather and relay local market insights to the Sales Manager.
- Develop an annual business plan in partnership with management, outlining strategies to meet or exceed sales targets.
- Manage all sales activities from lead generation to closure within the assigned territory.
- Undertake additional projects and responsibilities to support business objectives.

Work is performed under well-defined guidelines and procedures, with close supervision.
Knowledge & Skills
Preferred qualifications include:
- Understanding of HVAC systems.
- Familiarity with advertising and sales promotion techniques.
- Strong ability to educate and influence partners regarding HVAC products and programs.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Analytical capabilities to forecast sales and outcomes.
- Proven track record of meeting sales quotas.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Ability to build positive relationships with customers and colleagues.
- Strong judgment, work ethic, and integrity.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage a territory from a home office.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and travel as needed.
