Job Title: RN - Nursing Home

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at North Mississippi Health Services. As a Per Diem RN, you will provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Job Type: Per Diem / PRN
  • Specialty: Nursing Home
  • Discipline: RN
  • Duration: Ongoing

Clinical Practice:

  • Utilize the nursing process to deliver safe and effective patient care, documenting all interactions and interventions.
  • Ensure compliance with all NMHS policies and requirements, as directed by the Nurse Manager and Educator.

Education:

  • Provide patient and family education, serving as a resource for existing staff and new employees.
  • Participate in the Preceptor program to ensure proper training of new employees.

Communication:

  • Maintain open communication with multidisciplinary team members to provide holistic care to patients.
  • Attend daily huddles on each unit to ensure proper assignments and identify team members for the shift.

Customer Relations:

  • Project a caring, friendly, and helpful image to patients and other customers.
  • Utilize the patient's communication board to identify name, date, goals, other staff, and procedures or tests for the day.

Self-Development:

  • Maintain competency by staying informed of changing trends in nursing practice.
  • Attend annual review and unit specifics within the department.
  • Complete required continuing education hours online and in classroom.

Regulatory Knowledge:

  • Comply with regulatory and accrediting agency requirements.
  • Licensed by the board of Nursing for the state.

Licenses/Certifications:

  • RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
  • ACLS
  • TB Certified
  • PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support
  • ASLS Certified for Emergency Room
  • NIH - National Institute of Health Stroke Scale Certification
