Position Title: Junior Scientist I/II

Department: Biopharma Services (Laboratory)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulating solutions and reagents for conducting assays in the laboratory.
  • Executing Next Generation Sequencing-based genomic assays across various workflows, including:
  • Whole Genome Sequencing
  • Whole Exome Sequencing
  • RNAseq
  • Conducting genomic assays in accordance with Biosafety Level II regulations and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Performing Operational Qualification and Performance Qualification on Next Generation Sequencers.
  • Adhering strictly to established standard operating procedures for processing biological specimens while following laboratory safety protocols.
  • Maintaining meticulous records of all laboratory activities.
  • Continuously enhancing knowledge of next generation sequencing to support molecular biology techniques.
  • Collaborating within the team and across departments to achieve objectives.
  • Following Standard Operating Protocol (SOP) diligently.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences with a minimum of 1-3 years of laboratory experience required.
  • M.S. in Biological Sciences with at least 1 year of laboratory experience preferred.
  • Strong foundation in molecular biology is essential.
  • Hands-on experience with Next Generation Sequencing platforms is preferred.
  • Experience in handling and processing client samples is preferred.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively with a positive demeanor.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are crucial.
