Position: Substance Abuse Counselor

Employment Type: Permanent / Direct Hire

Field: Mental Health

Location: Phoenix, AZ

Work Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, with potential weekend rotations.

Compensation: $35-$40 per hour

The Substance Abuse Counselor will undertake the following responsibilities:

  • Evaluate clients to identify the severity and nature of their substance use issues.
  • Create tailored treatment strategies to meet the specific needs of clients.
  • Track client progress and maintain accurate documentation of all services rendered.
Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in Social Work or a related discipline.
  • Must hold a valid license (LAC, LAMFT, LMSW) to practice in Arizona.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in substance abuse counseling.
  • Familiarity with addiction science and evidence-based treatment methodologies.
  • Understanding of applicable laws, regulations, and community resources.
