About the Role:

As a Substance Abuse Counselor, you will play a crucial role in promoting the recovery and wellness of our students. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing alcohol, drug, and tobacco prevention activities and integrating services into the Center's programmatic functions.
  • Providing students with comprehensive and individualized case management, ensuring student progress, retention, and completion of the Job Corps program.
  • Counseling students individually and in groups on substance abuse.
  • Producing quality work/assignments in a thorough, timely, and accurate manner.
  • Maintaining appropriate personal attendance, accountability, and work productivity standards.

Qualifications:

We are seeking a qualified candidate with a Bachelor's degree from an accredited school and a minimum of one year of experience in drug/alcohol counseling or a related field. A valid, active, unrestricted in-state License (LASAC) or Certification in Substance Abuse Counseling/Prevention is required.
