About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional Executive Associate Athletics Director to join our team at Georgia Tech. This strategic leadership position will play a critical role in shaping the future of our athletics department.

The successful candidate will provide oversight, leadership, and direct support for assigned areas of responsibility and strategic projects. They will actively participate as a strategic leader and member of the senior leadership team, representing Georgia Tech athletics with efforts and initiatives involving player management and key business partners.

This role requires advanced knowledge of college athletics administration, professional sports administration, and/or player personnel management. The ideal candidate will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, and exceptional skills in communication, strategic planning, organization, decision-making, facilitating change, guiding and developing staff, and conflict management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide oversight, leadership, and direct support for assigned areas of responsibility and strategic projects.
  • Actively participate as a strategic leader and member of the senior leadership team.
  • Represent Georgia Tech athletics with efforts and initiatives involving player management and key business partners.
  • Direct and oversee the day-to-day operations of Georgia Tech athletics' player management process.
  • Coordinate the evaluation process with head coaches, assistant coaches, and other sport program personnel.
  • Maintain knowledge of conference, national best practices, strategies, and standards related to all units and sport programs.
  • Provide advice and leadership in the development and formulation of Athletics policies and procedures.
  • Audit and evaluate the annual player management investment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Sports Administration or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Six to eight years of job-related experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree.
