Job Description
The Orthopedic Athletic Specialist will be responsible for providing athletic training services to patients at Emory Orthopedics or Sports Medicine. This includes performing evaluations and treatments for medical and musculoskeletal pathology, as well as assisting surgeons in the operating room. The incumbent will also be responsible for providing patient education, developing patient management plans, and implementing therapeutic procedures.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, the Orthopedic Athletic Specialist must have a Master's Degree in Athletic Training or a related field and be a graduate of an Athletic Training Residency Program. The incumbent must also have one year of experience working in an orthopedic physician practice setting, or a Master's Degree in Athletic Training or a related field with an OTC and 2 years of experience will be accepted in lieu of completion of a residency program. Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification in accordance with the American Heart Association is also required.

Salary
The estimated salary for this role is $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
