Associate Director, Programs

Emory University is seeking an Associate Director, Programs to join our team. As a key member of our innovation research team, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing programs that enhance outreach in research and encourage early career individuals to enter into child health research-related careers.
Key Responsibilities:- Directs the strategic planning, development, and implementation of programs.
- Collaborates with representatives from private, government, and international agencies.
- Represents the program in various national and international fora.
- Conducts research, designs new initiatives, writes publishable articles and papers, collaborates with others, and designs programs.
- May supervise staff.
- Pathway Planning: Support the design and implementation of programs, initiatives, and resources aimed at enhancing the training of a diverse array of learners and early career faculty throughout their career trajectories in pediatric research and medicine.
- Recruitment and Retention Assistance: Assist in leading efforts to recruit, retain, and support trainees and faculty to increase exposure to pediatric medicine and reduce barriers to entering and succeeding into child health-related research careers.
- Strategic Planning Support: Assist in developing and executing strategic plans to increase diversity and inclusion in pediatric research career pathways.
- Partnership Development: Collaborate to establish and maintain strong partnerships with Emory University organizations, HBCUs, MSIs, and other stakeholders to create equitable access to opportunities in pediatric research.
- Bachelor's degree in a field related to the program.
- Five years of program-related experience, or an equivalent combination of experience, education, and training.
- Master's degree preferred.
